The St. Martin de Porres Multi-Care Center facility was named after St. Martin de Porres, a Peruvian national patron of social justice, human, and animal rights. It was established in 1964 and started off as an 18 bed nursing home. Today it has evolved into a 250 bed long term care facility, and are one of the largest VA contracted homes in the country.
Our Mission is to minister to the needs of those often denied admission by more conventional nursing homes, so we cater to residents with dual diagnosis which makes our population very unique. We routinely accept residents with diagnosis that include history of substance abuse, schizophrenia, bipolar, dementia, and other chronic behavioral disorders.
